Advocacy

As the voice of Michigan’s Lakeshore residential building community, the Lakeshore Home Builders Association is committed to promoting legislation that will improve our business climate and positively impact our growing economy. Creating a pro-building climate, free from excessive regulation, is critical to keep homeownership affordable for our community. Maintaining our quality of life is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of our federal and state legislatures, local governing bodies, and HBA members.

The Lakeshore HBA serves as the region’s advocate for the residential building industry at the local, state and federal levels. Our bi-monthly Legislative Round Tables give our members the chance to engage in dialog with our community’s state and federal legislators. Round Tables are held in Holland and Muskegon, allowing members to stay on top of legislative issues that affect our industry.

When you join the Lakeshore HBA, you become a member of the local, State, and National Home Builders Associations. This 3-in-1 membership provides members a political voice and protection from excessive regulation locally, statewide, and nationally.
